1 found dead in Delmar house fire, investigators say

Firefighters responding to a blaze in Delmar, Delaware Friday morning found a body inside, the state fire marshal's office said.

The fire was reported shortly before 6 a.m., and when Delmar volunteer firefighters got to the scene in the 9300 block of Carrolls Avenue, near Saint George Road, they found flames engulfing a house trailer and someone dead inside, the fire marshal's office said. No other injuries were reported.

The Division of Forensic Science will do an autopsy.

State fire investigators searched Friday for the fire’s origin and cause. Fire damage was estimated at $10,000.
